Canadian Designer Melissa Vass Scott had recently experienced some personal trauma that was as she puts it “a life altering experience”. With a history of providing inspiration and motivation to her friends, and with much introspective thought, she decided to design something that came naturally from within, she wanted to share her journey, and offer the inspiration of thoughts that enabled her to continue on her path of shelf growth and traverse that divide to new beginnings.One of my goals for Katydids was to create a warm and inviting place to come to no matter what kind of day you were having. We have discovered that people come to the store to be inspired and energized or to select meaningful gifts for friends and loved ones. People come to our store to treat themselves to something special for reaching a goal or they come for a “pick me up” for a day gone wrong.
When I discovered Mel V almost one year ago at a trade show, I fell in love with the Wisdom Stones instantly. There are some many wonderful messages that apply to whatever road you may be traveling on.
We have selected some of our personal favorites as well as our best sellers. The Wisdom Stones make memorable gifts for so many different occasions. Many of our customers come in to buy a Stone every few weeks as they are creating groupings on their walls at home reminding them of their journeys they have traveled through life.
